When a ticket is created, it will be assigned to a Trial Moderator or a Moderator depending on the severity of the rule that was broken.
Any tickets requiring a ban should be handled by a Moderator.
If a Moderator is not available & the rule broken is severe, you should mute the user for the maximum duration and wait for a Moderator to review the ticket.
When punishing a user, you need to make sure you have the correct ID and valid proof of the user breaking the rules.
To verify a user’s ID, you can use the /whois (or ?whois USER_ID) command in the server. You should do this every time you are about to punish a user.
If you do not have a valid ID or proof, you should inform the user that you are unable to punish them without the correct information.
Tickets that do not have a valid ID or proof should be left open. Alert the user that they need to provide valid proof and give them 12 hours to do so. If no proof is provided in the given time, you should close the ticket WITHOUT transcribing.
Tickets can only be closed by a Moderator. Once the ticket has been handled, it should be closed, transcribed, and deleted. The transcript is used for tracking report counts to grant the Deputy role.
