Non-English Language
Zap is a community for English speakers. We do not tolerate non-English language on the server.
Non-English speakers should be encouraged to use DeepL, Google Translate, ChatGPT, Claude, or another translation tool to help them better communicate.
Verbally warn a user if they are using non-English language and recommend they use a translation tool. Only punish if the behaviour continues.
Exceptions
- One off phrases: If a user says something in a language other than English, and it is not disruptive, it should be allowed.
- Non-English terms: If a user is talking about a non-English term, it should be allowed.
Punishments
- First offence: Warning.
- Second offence: 15 minute timeout.
- Third offence: 1 hour timeout.
- Fourth offence: Permanent ban.
